    Description

    Rare and hard to find vase by Metlox in their Tropicana pattern. Tropicana came in either fish or pineapple patterns. This vase is the pineapple pattern. It's the rare large vase (measures approx. 16.5" tall). The vase is in very good vintage condition. No chips or crazing to the glaze. There is one hairline crack (see photo) that I'm not sure is superficial or if it goes through - I did fill with water and there was no leaking, so I'm assuming this is just some glaze issue. Some Tropicana pieces had gold detailing, but this piece doesn't and there isn't any trace that it ever had it. Vase is unmarked but is unmistakably Metlox produced in Manhattan Beach, CA! Overall a very unique piece for the Metlox collector or California pottery collector. Shipped via USPS Priority Mail.
