JOHANNESBURG – South African motorists can expect significant relief again at the pumps in October.
This as recent data indicates a sustained over-recovery in petrol and diesel prices supported by favourable market conditions.
According to the latest figures from the Central Energy Fund, released at the end of the third week of September both petrol and diesel prices are set for substantial reductions.
Petrol is experiencing an over-recovery of between R1.10 and R1.17per litre.
Diesel prices reflect an over-recovery of approximately 1 rand 11 cents per litre.
South Africa is not alone in this trend.
The UK is also experiencing a sharp decline in petrol and diesel prices marking the fastest decrease this year.
